General Guidelines for Authors

Want to write for Nightingale Nursing Times?

Nightingale Nursing Times (NNT) offers a unique range of editorial services to help our authors prepare a submission-ready research work. 

When you are ready to submit, please refer to the following checklist to ensure you have all the elements in place to write for NNT:

  • Only those articles are published in NNT whose author(s) are subscriber(s). Get an individual /institutional subscription to write for NNT. For subscription details, write to us on nnursingtimes@gmail.com.
  • Research articles to be published should be in the field of medical and nursing.
  • Author(s) must submit their article/research study via e-mail. The first page of the submission must mention; Author(s) name, official designation along with the name of the organization, title of the study and the subscription number, contact number
  • Author(s) is/are required to attach a photograph. Photos should be of high resolution. If using a phone, do not reduce quality or size when sending images on e-mail.
  • The content of submission should contain up to 2000-2500 words maximum. Article format should be in MS WORD ( Doc. File only).
  • In case of Research study, following should be included; Title of the study, abstract with keywords, introduction, methodology, results, conclusion and references.
  • Figures/tables (optional) should be referenced in the text and should include a caption. Figures/table, if any, should also be explained briefly.
  • Authors should be judicious in citing references. On average, 2500 word paper should have no more than 10-15 references.
  • Authors of all study reports and articles should be mindful of the rules on the ethical conduct of research. Any content submitted found to contain plagiarism or have extensive poor paraphrasing will be rejected even after acceptance.
  • It is the duty of authors to make sure that their content is authentic. A certificate of plagiarism should be attached with the article to be published, sent via e-mail.
  • Although our best effort is to publish all the articles in the upcoming issue, authors are requested to be patient, wait for their article till the next second issue of the journal.
  • We personally send information about acceptance to our author(s). If any correction is required in your article, then our editorial team will connect you through e-mail.

Articles following the above guidelines alone will be considered for publication.
