Study on Teenage Pregnancy
Abstract : The over all aim of the research was to conduct descriptive study to assess the knowledge regarding teenage pregnancy among 1st year GNM students in ASRAM School of Nursing at Eluru, Andhra Pradesh.
Research methodology: It was a non- experimental survey, which is more appropriate in the field of education for its practicability in real life situation. The research design was “univariant descriptive design”. The study was conducted in ASRAM School of Nursing at Eluru. Sample was selected through simple random sampling technique. Sample size consists of 30 students. The data gathered were analyzed using descriptive, inferential statistical method and interpretation was done on the basis of the objectives of the study. The results shows that overall mean was 5.67 with a standard deviation of 1.72 mental health.
The study reveals that students initially had inadequate knowledge regarding impacts of social media on mental health, but the structuredd teaching program was effective in improving their knowledge.
